About JBI2018
In collaboration with the University of Granada, the Centre for Genomics and Oncological Research (GENyO), the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) and the Spanish National Bioinformatics Institute (INB/ELIXIR-ES) we are pleased to present the XIV Symposium on Bioinformatics (#JBI2018).
As in previous editions, the main aim of this meeting is to serve as forum to present and discuss the last research developments in the Bioinformatics field. We are delighted invite you to submit and present your work in the following topics:

This year we have three outstanding keynote speakers: Dr. Janet Kelso, head of the Bioinformatics research group at the Max-Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany. Dr. Julio Saez-Rodriguez , Professor of Medical Bioinformatics and Data Analysis at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Heidelberg and Maria Rodriguez Martinez, technical lead of the group of Systems Biology at IBM Research – Zürich
As special Highlight of the conference we will have a round-table organized by Fundación Instituto Roche during the 2nd day about: “Personalized medicine into healthcare: Challenges for Bioinformatics”
The Student Symposium will take place at Centre for Genomics and Oncological Research (GENYO). This is a meeting point for students and young researchers will be organized the day before the start of the Conference (November, 13th). The Symposium will include research communications presented by participating students, social activities and a special career advise talk by one of the keynote speakers.
